HTH's Boer Goat herd started out with the acquisition of Mountain Chief, a registered
full-blood Boer paint buckling (along with his wether buddy, Booker). He hails from our
friends Jack & Sue Doig at Lanark Farm in Andes, NY; a beautiful, multi-generational, family
farm that produces organically raised beef and top-quality Boer goats.

This year has been an amazing year for us as we underwent our first full-blown kidding season
with high-quality fullbloods and purebreds. All three of our first-time does successfully kidded
and produced a beautiful group of energetic kids that we are extremely proud of.
Olive, our big, black-headed herd queen twinned and gave us Nefertari, a gorgeous, solid
black doeling with a touch of chrome, and Zephyr, a black-headed buckling. Midge followed a
few days later with Beorn, an extremely stout and fast growing, traditional buckling with an
awesome personality. And Belle finished the season off a few days after that with a stunning,
stocky, solid-red doeling that we named Gwenhy-fahr. All are boisterous and very
people-oriented - hugs and kisses and soft human bodies to jump on are enjoyed daily by our
adorable 'little monsters'!
Decisions about who will be sold and pricing will be made as the kids grow. Anyone
interested is welcome to contact us in the meantime to discuss the possibilities. Visitors are
gladly welcomed by appointment!
Mountain Chief on the day of his arrival 7/12/2009 at 8 weeks
old. (The green in his coat is tattoo dye.)
Olive's (fullblood, black-headed doe) twins,
Nefer and Zephyr. Nefer and Zephyr
(fullbloods) were born March 21 at 7.75lbs
and 8.25lbs, respectively.
The one and only time that the Soay sheep showed any interest in the
Boer boys. M.C. is 8 weeks old compared to our largest, adult Soay ewe,
Sandpiper, standing in the front!

extremely fast. This boy is a gem!
And Belle's (94% purebred, solid red) little girl,
