HTH's draft power has taken its first steps: Sean and Teddy (our 8 y.o. Percheron gelding)
easily draw a 12' ash log out of the woods, as Storm, (Phinney's Trapper Lady, a 9 y.o.
registered Percheron mare that stands 17.3 hands or 5'11" at the withers) looks on from the
front paddock. She is envious of Teddy's abilities and anxiously awaits (she thinks) her chance
to get into harness and add to the homestead's productivity. This was Teddy's first time
actually working in harness in over 2 years and he performed brilliantly! It's a slow process as
we all learn together, but also exciting and rewarding!
Abbie & Melissa. This was Abbie's first
time being harnessed to drive with Teddy.
